In the Old Testament the LORD God had a temple for His people; however, in the New Testament He has His people for a temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV), the apostle Paul says, “Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? The reason he can say that is because we have been redeemed by the death of Jesus Christ. Because of redemption, the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in the life of redeemed believers. In Matthew 24:14 Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

Then in Ephesians 4:24 (ESV), he writes, “And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”

The greatest blessing we have is that God became man because He loved us so much that He would go to the cross and personally die for our sins. The Bible explains in John 1:14 that God became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus Christ became like us. He sanctified life by assuming a full human nature without sin by means of his incarnation. He was fully human and fully God. Jesus Christ is God. Jesus Christ is man. The Bible puts these two great truths of full deity and full hu
